About GCDI'25

India emits 2.9 Gt of CO2 annually, accounting for 4.9%of global emissions, making it the third-largest emitter. Power, automotive, aviation, steel, cement, and agriculture are the major sectors contributing to around 70% of India's overall emissions. As the India's economy grows, it must carefully plan and execute its development to achieve its net-zero goal by 2070. The GCDI provides a platform for various stakeholders to discuss challenges and technological solutions to achieve decarbonization.
